Lucky Smith is a self-taught, multiple disciplinary artist, who gained their dotty drawing style from learning stick and poke tattooing. Always pushing the boundaries of what they’re capable of, welcoming new techniques, mediums and size scales into their work. Believing we are all much more capable than what we think we are. Dotwork and stippling has been a way of meditation and being able to zone out from the world. A massive part of their practice is also making art accessible for anyone and everyone, knowing first-hand how life changing the gift of creating can be. After constantly encouraging and nagging mates to create beside them, Colouring Ring (a community driven colouring in book project) was birthed. Creating a safe space for fellow creatives has inspired and driven them to keep sharing art, the good and the bad, the happy and the sad, the sane or the mad. To never stop sharing, creating and experiencing, is the only goal for Lucky and their practice.
